Due to phenomenal growth of our Swedish client, we are currently looking for:
Senior Java Developer
to be based at their Krakow office.
The main purpose of the Senior Java Developer is to understand the needs of each business unit submitting a development request and to support the design, build, test and release of software programs to meet those needs.
You will need your core skills to include:
* Maintaining and improving competence in Java (J2EE), relational databases and web page construction (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX etc).
* Oracle, JBoss, Ant, Hibernate and open source Java Libraries, (experience of any J2EE application server eg Websphere, JRun etc would be acceptable).
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
Your Role and Responsibilities as the Senior Java Developer will be:
* Monitor and research new technologies appropriate to the business.
* Use existing and new skills and capabilities to contribute to the successful development of software programs to meet detailed specifications.
* Work on own initiative to achieve agreed specification and timing.
* Maintain adequate documentation to meet the needs of the business.
* Share knowledge with development group.
The Essential Skills and Experience required for the Senior Java Developer will be:
*Graduated of higher technical and/or management studies, preferably in the field of computer science and then moved into a software engineering role where you are coding on a daily basis in Java.
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
* Able to clearly communicate with clients and colleagues.
* Good team player, creative and proactive.
* Capable of working under pressure and to tight timing deadlines.
* Willing to be flexible to meet the business needs
